What is The Mindful Readers?
The Mindful Readers is a non-profit organization for anyone who wants to improve their public speaking, communication skills, and become more fluent in English. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where people can practice speaking, share ideas, and learn how to express themselves with confidence. If you're someone who wants to speak more clearly, connect with others better, and look at the world with new perspectives—we're here for you. We hold weekly book discussions every weekend, each lasting about an hour. During these sessions, individuals or teams present a summary of a book they've recently read. The twist? They must connect the story or lessons from the book to a real-world scenario. Whether it’s sharing how the book helped them understand a challenge or offering their own views on the ideas of the book, it’s all about learning to speak and think practically. These discussions aren’t just presentations—they’re open conversations. Anyone can respond, share a different opinion, or add to the discussion. This is not just an open mic, it's a discussion room—where we practice public speaking, learn how to communicate respectfully, and grow together. We also offer free online sessions and provide resources on topics like how to improve your communication skills, how to become more fluent in English, and much more. These resources are available for free on our website and YouTube channel, so even if you can’t join our book discussions, you can use the valuable content there to improve yourself a bit more. “You don’t have to be perfect here—just be yourself, because we embrace diversity.
